Fact-Checking Policy
How factual claims are supported and reviewed.
Factual claims in our reporting should be supported by appropriate sources — official rules and filings, named experts, or documented data — and reviewed in proportion to the nature and sensitivity of the content.
What review looks like
Editors check that key facts are attributable and that figures, dates, and program details are drawn from reliable sources. Claims that cannot be supported are revised or removed before publication, or corrected afterward.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that every article passes through a separate fact-checking department or that outside experts independently verify every piece. Our review is editorial and proportionate, not a formal certification.
Reporting a factual issue
